Recent Buys (April) and Catch Up
17:43:00I went to Oxford Street earlier this week to do some research for the last unit of the year for university (it's gone so fast, I can't believe I finish already! -first year that is). After that was done me and my friend went to shop around and here are a few things I picked up and would like to share!
Vests for £2 each from Forever 21, I don't have a F21 near me in my town so the closest one to me would be the one in Oxford Street, unfortunately this time round I didn't really see anything I really liked but I did pick up these basic v-neck vests.
Stopped by Muji (as you do) and picked up this candle. It's my first candle from Muji in Vanilla. I kind of regret picking up this scent, now that I can properly smell it, it's very very sweet. It was between a berry one or this one and I went with the Vanilla...should've bought both but I don't really burn candles during the spring/summer time but I wanted to try this out.
I stopped by the Kiko make up store, I hadn't really heard of this make up store until my friend wore a really nice coloured lipstick from Kiko and told me there was a store in Oxford St. The store is very small and always so packed since there is always some sort of sale with certain products.
I've only bought lipsticks from here since they last long and are very pigmented. I purchased this nude colour, it's my second nude lipstick and I would say it suits my skin tone quite well and it doesn't make me look ill which some nude lipsticks can do. I would say it looks like a "Kylie Jenner" kind of colour and could possibly be a dupe for the MAC one (don't quote me on that) it also smells really nice, like sweet scent but not too sweet.
The second thing I bought in Kiko was this eyeshadow, this is my first time trying their eye shadows. I thought it would be quite a good colour to brighten up the eyes on days where I am too lazy to put on make up.
Swatches (on my hand, if you couldn't tell): eye shadow swatch above, lipstick swatch below.
Wearing the lipstick in the photo above.
Then I stopped off at Cuppa Cha in Chinatown to get bubble tea, I don't like the bobba/pearls so it's normally just the juice for me but I still like it. I was going to get their Strawberry Starry Mango one which REALLY nice but they told me they ran out of strawberries so I got this Green Tea Mango juice instead.
I'm sure you guys have all heard about this new app called MyIdol which basically turns you into a computerised animated version of yourself and I'm pretty impressed with the results since it kinda looks like me or so I've been told.
I'm also looking for inspiration for outfits for my holiday in June, I cannot wait! Lastly I watched Fast and Furious 7 and it was SO good (SPOILER so glad they didn't kill off Paul Walker), I was a abit late on the movies and hadn't watched them from the beginning but as soon as I watched Fast 7 I got home and watched the movies backwards haha. I'm sure you have all heard the song but I like it a lot so I'll just leave it here to end this post.
